The Barwon Estuary is so much more than we experience at the river mouth. Come and explore a little upstream with local guides and learn about what influences downstream estuary life. Wildlife photography tips included.

Directions: Take Geelong Rd from Barwon Heads. Continue to Barwon Heads airport. Turn into Stacey’s Rd (first right after airport). Continue along Staceys Rd for 2.4 km until the road ends at Lake Connewarre. Park car near the Parks Victoria sign.
What to bring
You’ll need weather-appropriate clothing, a hat, sturdy shoes, a camera or phone for a photography tips session, binoculars if you have them, and drinking water if needed. Please bring your mobile phone for a QR code check-in.
